SOAP2 can read the option quotes of the index options (SPX, NDX, RUT) from your own Tastytrade account instead of Interactive Brokers. The feed is read-only market data: SOAP2 never places, changes or sees orders, positions or balances on Tastytrade. Interactive Brokers stays your broker, your connection and the authority on which contracts exist.
Why use it: Tastytrade does not count against the Interactive Brokers market-data line limit, so the tools that stream many options at once (Vol Surface, vertical skew, GEX/VEX, TRACE) fill faster and are not squeezed by that limit.
Regular edition and above, including Premium, Expert, WhiteLabel and the Free Trial (or Developer mode). On Freeware the settings are greyed out; hover them for the reason. Some tools that benefit from the feed (Vol Surface, GEX/VEX, TRACE, skew) have their own edition requirements. See the Licensing & Editions guide.

The credentials are stored encrypted on this PC (Windows data protection), never in the settings file and never in the Message Log. Do not add the trade scope to the OAuth application: SOAP2 does not need it.
With the switch off (the default) SOAP2 behaves exactly as it did before: nothing is started, nothing connects.
There is one source setting for all Options Analysis windows and the Watchlist. Change it:
The connected indicator reads IB + TT while Tastytrade is serving data. The source is meant to be changed rarely; a switch re-requests the rows and reloads the tools that read their data once per session (for example the Hedging Flow seed).
SOAP2 still needs an Interactive Brokers connection to start. If Tastytrade fails or drops, the affected rows move back to Interactive Brokers and one line is written to the Message Log.
A result calculated on Interactive Brokers and the same tool later calculated on Tastytrade (or the reverse) can differ slightly. That is normal, not a fault. Causes:
When you compare two readings, compare them on the same source.
| You see | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Credentials test fails | Check the three values, that the refresh token belongs to the same OAuth application, and that the application has the read scope. |
| “TT silent” in a tool's status | Tastytrade accepted the subscription but sent no data for those contracts (illiquid strike, closed session). It is not reported as a nonexistent contract. |
| Contracts counted as “do not exist” | Interactive Brokers rejected them (error 200). The tools skip them for about 45 minutes. |
| An Options Analysis for an index shows no chain | If the index has no Interactive Brokers data, the window waits up to about five minutes for a price (from Tastytrade) before asking for a reference price. |
The Message Log lists the source decisions; the log file keeps repeated lines that the on-screen box hides.
