# Keyboard Shortcuts — Quick Reference (tabular)
This page lists keyboard shortcuts available in SOAP2. Tables below present each shortcut and a short, user‑oriented description of its effect. Use the main SOAP2 Help Guide (index.md.html) for more detail.

## Global (Main window)

| F12 | Show the Keyboard Shortcuts window. |
| Shift + Enter / Shift + Down | Select the current Options Analysis window (same as clicking **Select Current OA**). |
| Alt + B | Open the Bank Holidays window. |
| Alt + C | Open the Accounts list window. |
| Alt + D | Open a data chart for the currently selected symbol (if any). |
| Alt + E | Open the Orders list window. |
| Alt + F | Show available date formats. |
| Alt + I | Show TWS (IB) status. |
| Alt + L | Open the Live Watchlist and bring it to the front. |
| Alt + N | Create / initiate a new Options Analysis window for the selected symbol. |
| Alt + O | Select the current Options Analysis window. |
| Alt + S | Open Watchlist setup. |
| Alt + T | Open the Trades list window. |
| Alt + W | Open Watchlist setup. |
| Alt + Delete or Alt + H | Hide the message log window (and close splash screen if it is nearly finished). |

## Orders window

| Escape | When the combo-legs TreeView is visible, hide it. |
| Delete | When the executions grid has focus, delete selected execution record row(s). |

## Watchlist Setup window
| Shortcut | Description |
|---|---|
| Delete (Watchlist grid) | Remove the selected symbol from the Watchlist (after confirmation). Also closes any open OA windows for that symbol. A small set of default symbols (SPX, SPY, NDX, QQQ, RUT, IWM) cannot be removed this way. |
| Delete (search results grid) | Remove the selected symbol entirely (after confirmation): closes its open OA windows, removes it from the Watchlist if present, and deletes its saved settings/chain files from disk. |

## Live Watchlist window
| Shortcut | Description |
|---|---|
| Delete | Disable the selected symbol for the current session only (after confirmation): closes its open OA windows and stops its data. The Watchlist is not saved, so the symbol returns on the next run. |

## Options Chain window
Note: descriptions assume the Options Chain window has focus.
### Alt + (window specific)
| Shortcut | Description |

| Alt + D | Reset/refresh the risk graph initialization (forces the graph to reinitialize). |
| Alt + 1 / Alt + 2 / Alt + 3 / Alt + 4 | Jump to expiry tab 1, 2, 3 or 4 respectively. |
| Alt + A | Auto-size the option grids (resize columns to fit). |
| Alt + R | Toggle fast-path chart reuse (a faster/slower chart rendering mode). |
| Alt + I | Toggle diagnostic/debug display. |
| Alt + P | Force an immediate refresh of the chain data (reprepare the chain). |
| Alt + V | Toggle visibility of rows that currently lack live data (hide/show placeholder rows). |
| Alt + Up / Alt + Down | Show or hide the chain panel area. |
### Grid (Position column only)
| Click + Right | Auto-fill closing model legs for the the whole trade. |
### Calendar window (when the expiration calendar is active)
| Shortcut | Description |

| Alt + Delete | Delete contract definitions for the selected calendar date. |
| Alt + Insert | Load contract definitions for the selected calendar date. |
### Ctrl + (window specific)
| Shortcut | Description |
|---|---|
| Ctrl + Right / Ctrl + Left | Move to the next / previous expiry (switch expiry tabs). |
| Ctrl + C | Show Commit (if valid). |
| Ctrl + D | Refresh chain descriptors for the current underlying (update chain metadata). |
| Ctrl + E | Expand Graph Area (toggle). |
| Ctrl + Down | Toggle the Minimum Strike Interval. |
| Ctrl + H | Request H‑Skew (volatility skew) for the current expiry (single ATM request). |
| Ctrl + F | Cancel background contract detail requests and clear related errors/status. |
| Ctrl + G | Open the Greeks column selector dialog. |
| Ctrl + M | Show Models List. |
| Ctrl + Q | Disconnect from IB API and cancel live data requests. |
| Ctrl + S | Save Risk Graph snapshot. |
| Ctrl + T | Clear models/positions and switch to the default "model" trade. |
| Ctrl + U | Restart/update the risk-graph repaint timer (refresh chart repaint scheduling). |
| Ctrl + W | Toggle use of weekly expiries. |
### Ctrl + Shift + (expiry-tab leg transfer)
These shortcuts transfer model legs between the **previous** expiry tab (`CurrentTab − 1`) and the **current** tab. Switch to the target expiry tab first, then use the shortcut.

| Ctrl + Shift + T | Transfer the **focused row's** leg from the previous expiry tab to the current tab (click the destination row first). |
| Ctrl + Shift + A | Transfer **all** legs from the previous expiry tab to the current tab. |
| Ctrl + Shift + B | Return the **focused row's** leg from the current tab back to the previous expiry tab. |
| Ctrl + Shift + Z | Return **all** legs from the current tab back to the previous expiry tab. |
### Ctrl + Shift + (other)
| Shortcut | Description |

| Ctrl + Shift + R | Toggle Rewind mode: view/scrub historical chain data for a past date/time (Premium). See `docs/rewind_user_guide.md`. |
### Mouse Operations (in MODEL column)
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Left-click + drag | Move a single model leg from one strike to another. |
| Ctrl + Left-click + drag | Move ALL models in the current expiry by the strike delta (bulk model shift). |
### No modifier (plain key)
| Shortcut | Description |
|---|---|
| A | Select AM expiry (sets AM/PM to AM). |
| P | Select PM expiry (sets AM/PM to PM). |
| M | Select Monthly trading class (if available). |
| W | Select Weekly trading class (if available). |
| I | Show IB / TWS status. |
| T | Commit the current model to the selected trade (only when there is model/risk-graph data). |
| Delete | Remove the model from selected rows in the chain grids. |
| Enter | When the expiration calendar is visible, confirm the currently selected expiry (same as clicking **Confirm Expiry**). |
| F1 | Quick-select the first available regular expiry and show the calendar for confirmation. |
| F2 | Quick-select the next available expiry after the first and show the calendar. |
| F3 | Quick-select the third available expiry (next after F1/F2) and show the calendar. |
